Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lone Oak's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Chisum by a score of 58-56. While the Buffaloes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 19-10 in the first quarter.

Rains has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Lone Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
