Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 58-49 to the Frontier Titans. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while the Titans are ranked 326th).

Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from BRYCE HANSON, who posted 15 points. That's the most points HANSON has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Khameron Fletcher, who earned seven points.

Zach Garnett was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards for Frontier. Garnett is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dallin Crawford, who put up ten points and eight boards.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Frontier, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Liberty has already played their next match, a 53-49 loss against Centennial on the 4th. As for Frontier, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-44 victory against Garces Memorial on the 4th.
