Baseball Recap: Dakota Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pearl City last Tuesday, Dakota came back down to earth. The Indians came up short against the Galena Pirates on Monday, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since May 11, 2024.

Brayden Larson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Dakota's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Galena, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Dakota will square off against Forreston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Galena, they will host West Carroll at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Thunder at the right time seeing as the Thunder are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
