Softball Recap: South Broward Comes Up Short

South Broward lost against Monarch back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The South Broward Bulldogs fell 4-1 to the Monarch Knights.

South Broward saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mayah Torres 2026, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Torres 2026 brought in this season.

South Broward's record now sits at 5-4. As for Monarch, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Broward will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Flanagan at 4:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Monarch, they will venture away from home to face off against Western at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monarch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
