Softball Recap: Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lutheran fell victim to Rochelle and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Hubs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their loss to the Hubs from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rochelle, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lutheran will challenge South Beloit at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rochelle, they will square off against Mendota at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hubs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
