Sandia faced Eldorado in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Matadors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 1-0. Isaiah Ornelas had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Sandia.

Sandia is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those ten matches. As for Eldorado, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1.
