Central Cabarrus finds playoff glory versus A.C. Reynolds

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Central Cabarrus Vikings had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the Rockets 96-49 at home. The victory was just business As usual For Central Cabarrus, who after 30 games remain undefeated this season.

Josh Dalton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double on 36 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Carson Daniel was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 assists.

Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaelan Gilliland, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Gilliland has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Declan Brown, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Central Cabarrus' win was their 31st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 30-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 49.2 points. As for A.C. Reynolds, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.

Central Cabarrus will stay at home for another game and welcome Ben L. Smith at 6:00 p.m. on March 8th. Ben L. Smith is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. A.C. Reynolds does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
