Softball Recap: Thornton Fractional North Comes Up Short

Thornton Fractional North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Evergreen Park Mustangs, falling 17-0. If the Meteors were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Thornton Fractional North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Evergreen Park, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Coming up, Thornton Fractional North will host Shepard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Astros will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Meteors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Evergreen Park, they will head out to face off against Tinley Park at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
