 Palisades fought the good fight in their extra-innings  match against Salisbury Township  on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Salisbury Township Falcons by a score of  3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Palisades of the  14-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
  Mitchell Hamilton was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out six batters over  7.1 innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side, Palisades saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Borgeson Greg, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-4. Greg is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 On Salisbury Township's side,  Thomas Lovelidge made a big impact no matter where he played. He  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits (and only one walk). Lovelidge was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jake Bucchim, who  went 3-for-4 with three  doubles and  an  RBI.
 Palisades' defeat was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Salisbury Township, the  win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
 Palisades will head out on the road to  challenge  Catasauqua at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. As for Salisbury Township, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Saucon Valley at 4:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Saucon Valley: 3.9, Salisbury Township: 4.1) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
