Basketball Recap: Charles Page Comes Up Short

Charles Page was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sapulpa Chieftains. The Sandites were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chieftains apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Leading Sapulpa to victory were Riki Mcquarters and Lou Chaney. Mcquarters dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards, while Chaney went 6 for 14 en route to 20 points and four steals. Mcquarters is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kianna Littlebear, who posted ten points.

Charles Page's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Sapulpa, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Charles Page has already played their next matchup (against Enid), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sapulpa has already played their next game, an 81-53 defeat against Broken Arrow on the 21st.
