Jo Byrns waltzed into their match  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with  a   77-64  victory over the Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  67-53  back in January.
 Merrol Hyde Magnet's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Bennett Altepeter, who  went 6-for-12  on his way to 18  points and six  rebounds. That's the most points  Altepeter has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Sam Mullins, who  earned 12  points along with five  assists and five  steals.
Jo Byrns' win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 17-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Merrol Hyde Magnet, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six games,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record  this season.
 Jo Byrns does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Merrol Hyde Magnet,  it'll be a Battle of the Birds when  the Hawks  duke it out with  the Eagles at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday.
