Volleyball Recap: Springville Takes a Loss

Springville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Salem Hills Skyhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Springville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-23, 25-15.

Salem Hills can attribute much of their success to Deni Rappleye, who had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Rappleye has posted since back in August.

Springville's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Salem Hills, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-11.

Springville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Payson on the 18th. As for Salem Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Maple Mountain on the 18th.
