Basketball Recap: El Capitan Comes Up Short

El Capitan played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Valley Buffalos, falling 58-29. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.

El Capitan's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Valley, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

After both having extra time off, El Capitan and Rock Point will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Rock Point will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something El Capitan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Valley, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Monument Valley at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
