The Cayuga Wildcats will take on the Trinidad Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cayuga is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Cayuga is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout on Tuesday, just like they did against Martins Mill (and have done all season long). Cayuga's pitchers stepped up to hand Martins Mill an 11-0 shutout on Friday.
Gus Wilfong made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Wilfong has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Wilfong was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and a stolen base.
In other batting news, Presley Warden was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. Micah Redwine was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Trinidad's offense. They suffered a rough 21-0 loss at the hands of Neches on April 5th.
