Volleyball Recap: Carrboro Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Carrboro lost against Chapel Hill back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Carrboro was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 25-18.

Brooke Williams paced Carrboro's offense, picking up nine kills. Williams got some help from Caroline Butler and her ten assists. Ella Solander controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Chapel Hill found their leader in freshman Leila Tooloee, who had seven digs and two aces. Tooloee is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Carrboro now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Chapel Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carrboro will host Seaforth at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chapel Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against J.H. Rose at 5:00 p.m.
