New Canaan is 1-9 against Darien since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The New Canaan Rams will head out to take on the Darien Blue Wave at 5:30 p.m.

New Canaan started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-6.

Meanwhile, Darien put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Woodland Regional.
While Darien won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 26-24.
New Canaan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Darien, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
