Baseball Recap: Technology Comes Up Short

Technology lost against Sonoma Academy back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Titans lost 16-5 to the Coyotes. Titans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Coyotes since on Tuesday.

Pablo Chinchilla was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sean McGunagle, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Technology and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for Sonoma Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Technology will welcome Rio Lindo Adventist at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Sonoma Academy, they will host Credo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
