Basketball Recap: Jackson Mangham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Olentangy over Hilliard Darby

Olentangy lost against Hilliard Darby back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Olentangy Braves fell 69-61 to the Hilliard Darby Panthers. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olentangy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Mangham, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. Jay Agrawal was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Even though they lost, Olentangy was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Olentangy's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Hilliard Darby, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Olentangy and Palm Harbor University will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Palm Harbor University has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hilliard Darby, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hilliard Darby Panthers duke it out with the St. Charles Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
