Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Comes Up Short

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard lost against Guerin Catholic back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans were outmatched by the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles and fell 71-34. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's loss came despite strong showings from Dajuan Rudolph and Alexander Lake. Rudolph posted ten points, while Lake had nine points. The dominant performance gave Rudolph a new career-high in points.

Bryson Cardinal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Guerin Catholic, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten boards. Cardinal's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Grissom, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Guerin Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will head out to challenge Muncie Central at 5:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Guerin Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-46 win against Heritage Christian on the 11th.
