Soccer Recap: Stafford Falls to Alief Taylor in First Game of Season

Stafford kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Alief Taylor Lions by a score of 1-0. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Spartans couldn't quite close it out.

The victory was the third in a row for Alief Taylor, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Stafford will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Fork at 10:00 a.m. on January 9, 2025. Alief Taylor will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Fort Bend Marshall at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th.
