Newark has gone 10-0 against Groveport-Madison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Newark Wildcats will welcome the Groveport-Madison Cruisers at 7:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Newark will head into Sunday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 26) and on Sunday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Beavercreek 50-47. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Beavers are ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Groveport-Madison entered their tilt with Canal Winchester on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 win over the Indians.

Newark pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Groveport-Madison, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Newark was able to grind out a solid victory over Groveport-Madison in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 47-39. Will Newark repeat their success, or does Groveport-Madison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
