Britton-Hecla and Waubay/Summit are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Britton-Hecla has three straight victories, Waubay/Summit has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Britton-Hecla will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Milbank, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Britton-Hecla got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 32-30, 25-13.

They weren't the only good servers: Britton-Hecla was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Waubay/Summit didn't have quite enough to beat Langford on Thursday and fell 3-2. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-18 in the first set.
Waubay/Summit actually scored more points across those five sets (104-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-21, 16-25, 25-22, 15-11.
Waubay/Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Britton-Hecla, their record now sits at 10-8.
Britton-Hecla took their win against Waubay/Summit in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
