Baseball Game Preview: Toronto Red Knights vs. Conotton Valley Rockets

The Toronto Red Knights will take on the Conotton Valley Rockets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Saturday.

Conotton Valley's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Toronto hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Red Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand David Anderson a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. Fans of the Red Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, Conotton Valley posted their closest victory since April 1, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over East Canton.

Zack Putnam spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Garrett Reiter, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Higgenbotham, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Toronto's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.the team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team won's by an average of 10.4 runs thus far As for Conotton Valley, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.
