Baseball Game Preview: Concord Raiders vs. Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles

The Concord Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Hodgson Vo-Tech Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Concord's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.

Concord barely beat Newark the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders blew past the Yellowjackets 19-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won nine in a row.

Hodgson Vo-Tech never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Christiana on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 10-5.

Concord's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Concord came out on top in a nail-biter against Hodgson Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
