Baseball Recap: American Heritage Drops Highest Score of Season Against American

With a playoff win on the line, American Heritage rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand American a 16-0 shutout. American Heritage's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mark Aleman looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, RJ Machado was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Ramos, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.

American Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

American Heritage's record now sits at 20-6. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Coming up, American Heritage will square off against Somerset Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. American does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
