Softball Game Preview: Northwood Chargers vs. Graham Red Devils

The Northwood Chargers will challenge the Graham Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwood has given up an average of 15.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Northwood lost 18-4 to Chapel Hill on Wednesday. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Allison Bryant was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Ava Bain also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Graham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Bartlett Yancey, falling 21-10.

Northwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Graham, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Northwood took their victory against Graham in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-2. Does Northwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Graham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
