Baseball Recap: Frenchtown Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Frenchtown ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Hamilton. For Frenchtown, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 victory Hamilton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Frenchtown's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Konnor Klimpel, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave Klimpel a new career-high. Another was Joseph Alexander, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Frenchtown and bumps their season record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Hamilton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Coming up, Frenchtown will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Ignatius at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
