Basketball Recap: South Lake Comes Up Short

South Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marysville Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-45 back in January.

South Lake's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Marysville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, South Lake won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rose Leadership Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marysville, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Port Huron Northern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
