Who's up and who's down

Can't Touch This

Aquinas managed to bank 259 more yards than its opponent Olathe West last week, and going the extra distance paid off. Aquinas picked up a decisive 'W' against Olathe West, finishing up at 67 - 21. Aquinas especially relied on senior Cameron Jackson, who rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns, and sophomore Blake Anderson, who earned one touchdown and 101 yards rushing the ball. Jackson's performance stood out as one of the best in the power rankings for the week.

A

The battle between Blue Valley North (ranked 8th in the power rankings) and Olathe North (ranked 16th) turned out to be a fierce competition. Blue Valley North came out on top in a nail-biter against Olathe North, sneaking past 51 - 49. Blue Valley North saw its record improve to 9-4-0 and its power rank jump six places as a result.

Game of Inches

It doesn't get any closer than a one-point game, and that was the margin of last week's closest contest, which featured thrill-seekers Rockhurst and Blue Springs. Rockhurst won an extremely close contest against Blue Springs with a final score of 14 - 13. Rockhurst was the clear favorite in this matchup, so the near-loss was an unusual surpise.
