Pine Island waltzed into their match on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cannon Falls Bombers. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pine Island had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Cannon Falls lost, don't look at Katie Tipton. Despite the final result, she had 28 digs and four assists. Tipton has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Pine Island's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Cannon Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

As of now, neither Pine Island nor the Bombers have any future games scheduled.
