Basketball Recap: Abby Pavia Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat West Mesa

Albuquerque won the last time they faced West Mesa and things went their way on Friday too. The Albuquerque Bulldogs took down the West Mesa Mustangs 62-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Albuquerque's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abby Pavia, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. The matchup was Pavia's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Sarah Garcia was another key player, going 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Albuquerque was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Albuquerque's win bumped their record up to 20-5. As for West Mesa, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

Albuquerque does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Mesa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rio Grande at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
