Basketball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

Santa Fe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 62-43 to the California Condors. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-23 on January 8th.

It was another big night for Edgar Beltran, who posted 15 points along with seven assists and seven steals for California. Beltran is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Aham Nwosu was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 13 points.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for California, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.

Santa Fe has already played their next contest (against Los Amigos), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. California is taking a road trip to face off against El Rancho at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. California has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 220 points over their last three matches.
