There's no place like home for St. Marys, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 53-25 win over the Jackson Heights Cobras. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Hayden Heim, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of St. Marys' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Hurla, who posted 14 points.

Jackson Heights' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Sides, who scored six points. The dominant performance gave Sides a new career-high in points. Lakota Bottom also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

St. Marys' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points per game. As for Jackson Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
