Basketball Recap: Burlington Comes Up Short

Burlington was the 41-38 winner over Elkhorn when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Burlington Demons were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 52-51 to the Elkhorn Elks.

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Elkhorn, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Burlington will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Racine Horlick at 7:15 p.m. on December 26th. Burlington is facing Racine Horlick at the right time seeing as Racine Horlick is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Elkhorn, they will host Oregon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
