Basketball Recap: East Webster Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and East Webster had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged the Yazoo County Panthers out 61-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolverines have posted since November 7, 2024.

East Webster is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Yazoo County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.

Coming up, East Webster will take on Booneville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Booneville comes in on 14 and East Webster on three. Yazoo County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
