Volleyball Recap: Faulkton Beats White River for Their Third Straight Win

Faulkton posted their closest win since October 12, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the White River Tigers 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Faulkton got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Presleigh Martinmaas and Anika Mueller, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Claire Cotton and her 26 assists. Mueller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Faulkton now has a winning record of 8-7. As for White River, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Faulkton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Wolsey-Wessington on the 27th. As for White River, after both having extra time off, they and Todd County will shake off the rust and duke it out on October 7.
