After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cimarron-Memorial, Las Vegas was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Desert Pines Jaguars as the Las Vegas Wildcats made off with a 19-1 win. That 18 run margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

The team relied heavily on Amanii Darby, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sophia Gonzalez, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Las Vegas' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Desert Pines, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Las Vegas will have a chance to go back-to-back against Desert Pines: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
