Cuero was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Goliad Tigers, sneaking past 3-1. For the Gobblers, this counts as revenge for the 10-6 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Cuero's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Goliad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
