Basketball Recap: Riddhi Mistry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Providence over Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep

North Providence's game on Monday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep by a score of 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riddhi Mistry, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Elyse Brassard, who had eight points in addition to 12 boards and three steals.

North Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

North Providence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-41 loss against Central Falls on the 10th. As for Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep, they are taking a road trip to square off against Prout at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
