Soccer Game Preview: Westside vs. Morgan County

The Westside Seminoles are taking a road trip to challenge the Morgan County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westside has given up an average of 6.3 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westside lost 10-2 to Callaway on Friday. While losing is never fun, Westside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Callaway are ranked 130th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Morgan County made sure to put some goals up on the board against Jackson on Tuesday. They never let the Red Devils get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Morgan County haven't had any issues with Jackson recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Morgan County's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those five contests. As for Westside, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Westside might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Morgan County when the teams last played on March 5th. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Westside was down 5-1.
