Baseball Recap: P.K. Yonge Blue Wave vs. Bradford Tornadoes

After losing to Bradford the last time they met, P.K. Yonge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The P.K. Yonge Blue Wave walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Bradford Tornadoes on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Wave.

Colt Kramer made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.

In other batting news, Darius Medley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-4. P.K. Yonge is undefeated when Medley posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Preston Splitt, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

P.K. Yonge hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bradford struck out nine times.

P.K. Yonge's record is now 6-3. As for Bradford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
