Cameron Mailloux Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Mountain Ridge was led to victory by Cameron Mailloux, who turned in her biggest game of the season on Thursday. Mailloux rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns. She's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (101.7) per game. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rushing yards.
Mountain Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Mailloux and Mountain Ridge will take on Tolleson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Boulder Creek Comes Up Short Despite Huge Game from Underclassman Alice Betts
Even if Boulder Creek couldn't beat Mountain Ridge on Thursday, underclassman Alice Betts still had a big game. Betts was excellent, making 12 total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception. Thanks to that strong showing, she's now averaging 5.3 total tackles per game.
Boulder Creek is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Betts and Boulder Creek have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Valley Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Mountain Ridge was led to victory by Emma Langer, who turned in her biggest game of the season on Thursday. Langer picked up 173 receiving yards and a touchdown.
