Softball Recap: West Wendover Wolverines vs. Incline Highlanders

West Wendover extended their losing streak to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 6-22. They fell 20-16 to the Incline Highlanders. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-6 loss on Saturday.

West Wendover got a massive performance out of Samantha Marriott, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Yaretzi Saucedo, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

As for Incline, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-14. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.6 runs over those games.

On Incline's side, Maria Hershberger was excellent, getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances with two doubles. What's more, Hershberger posted two hits, the most she's had since back in March. Solin Visci was another key player, going 2-for-6 with one triple.

As of now, neither West Wendover nor Incline have any future games scheduled.
