Recap: Ridgway Demons vs. De Beque Dragons
The Ridgway Demons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 50-41 to De Beque. Ridgway was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as De Beque apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Ridgway's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Baskfield, who scored 17 points. Henry Deppen was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead De Beque to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jace Graham, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Scottie Vines, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Ridgway's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for De Beque, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Ouray the next time they take the court. Ridgway will head out to face Ouray at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while De Beque will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
