Basketball Recap: Oregon-Davis Comes Up Short

Oregon-Davis extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-6. They took a hard 64-45 fall against the Mishawaka Marian Knights. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

As for Mishawaka Marian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mishawaka Marian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kariya Byer, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Byer's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Addison O'Hara was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Oregon-Davis will square off against Tri-Township at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mishawaka Marian, they will venture away from home to take on South Bend Saint Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
