Volleyball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin lost against Cosumnes Oaks back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Franklin Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Franklin was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cosumnes Oaks work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 12-25, 26-24.

Jared Tristeza paced Franklin's offense, picking up 13 kills. Tristeza got some help from Andrew Thao and his 17 assists. Thao was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Cosumnes Oaks, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Looking ahead, Franklin will be playing at home against Monterey Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monterey Trail will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosemont at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
