Basketball Recap: Southeast Guilford Comes Up Short

Southeast Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 77-63 to the Page Pirates. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (56), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Southeast Guilford lost, don't look at Justin Geter. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 15 on his way to 18 points. The matchup was Geter's third in a row with at least ten points. Jayce Brannon was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Southeast Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Page, they moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Southeast Guilford has already played their next game, a 73-65 win against Ragsdale on the 21st. As for Page, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Northwest Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
