Soccer Game Preview: Temple vs. Pepperell

The Temple Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Pepperell Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Temple has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Temple lost 9-1 to Bremen on Friday. While losing is never fun, Temple can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Bremen are ranked 131st).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Pepperell made sure to put some goals up on the board against Coosa on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Eagles. Considering Pepperell's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Coosa with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rebecca Duchemin (2), Sarah Harris, and Millie Hopper.

Pepperell's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Temple, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Everything went Temple's way against Pepperell in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Temple made off with a 7-2 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
