Coon Rapids hadn't done well against Centennial recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Cardinals won by a goal and slipped past the Cougars 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Coon Rapids sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Coon Rapids' win bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Centennial, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6-1.
