Volleyball Recap: Lamar Starts off Right with Win over Nimitz

Lamar had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Nimitz Cougars on Tuesday. This was payback for the Texans, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

One reason for the win was Lamar's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-16, 25-13.

Lamar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Alvin on the 14th. As for Nimitz, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Fort Bend Dulles on the 14th.
